Pretest and Posttest Spatial Thinking Scores of Preschool Children Participating in a Robotics Program: Dataset

This dataset contains pretest and posttest spatial thinking scores of preschool children (aged 4–6) who participated in a quasi-experimental study examining the influence of a 12-week robotics program on early spatial thinking skills. Data were collected from an experimental group (EG, n=36) and a control group (CG, n=22) across seven items: spatial perspectives, position and distance relations, laterality, spatial orientation on a grid, spatial representation on a grid, itineraries (assessed through oral description, graphic representation, and a mixed format), and map reading. Each item was scored on a 0–5 Likert scale. The dataset includes individual item scores as well as two composite total scores (a full 7-item total and a reduced 6-item total, the latter excluding items showing ceiling effects or task redundancy). A full data dictionary describing all variables is provided as a supplementary PDF.
