The project is sequencing, assembling, and comparing downy mildew oomycete pathogens of plants. The project will generate and release data multiple isolates of several genera, including but not limited to Bremia, Peronospora, Plasmopara, Peronosclerospora and Sclerospora, from global collections of isolates. The project is conducted in the lab of Richard Michelmore at the UC Davis Genome Center in collaboration with many laboratories elsewhere.
