The transcriptional repressor Blimp-1/Prdm1 controls the maternal decidual response during pregnancy [RNA-seq]

Transcriptional profiling of E5.5 and E6.5 wild type and Blimp1 mutant decidua was performed using RNA-seq to identify maternal Blimp1 functions during pregnancy . Overall design: To induce Prdm1 gene deletion in the uterus, Prdm1 BEH/+;PRCre/+ studs (Vincent et al., 2005, Soyal et al., 2005) were crossed with female Prdm1CA/CA mice (Shapiro-Shelef et al., 2003) to generate Prdm1 BEH/CA ;PRCre females, hereinafter referred to as Blimp1 mutant. Female littermates (6–10 weeks of age) were used as the wild type. Whole decidua from E5.5 and E6.5 Blimp1 mutant and wild type mice were analysed by RNA-Seq.
