Human Capital Value of Chinese Track and Field Athletes under the Perspective of New Quality Productivity Leapfrog -Analysis of fsQCA based on 28 track and field athletes

This study analyzes the mechanism of realizing the human capital value of track and field athletes in China based on the Necessary Condition Analysis (NCA) and grouping method. The group analysis identifies four paths: dual performance-technique driven, technique breakthrough with operational drive, technique empowerment with institutional support, and social capital empowerment with institutional compensation,revealing that the top athletes are led by technological breakthroughs, and the midstream relies on the differentiated logic of system compensation and business incubation, with technology application and policy suitability as the key to value leap. The study identifies structural imbalances in China’s sports system and proposes a dynamic stratified protection strategy. Contributions include redefining social capital, integrating institutional capital, and incorporating AI and wearable technology into the human capital framework, supporting policy optimization and digital transformation in sports.
