The winter ant, Prenolepis imparis, is a cold specialist that forages during cooler months � a time when many other ant species are inactive. Colonies of P. imparis are polygynous a typically have several thousand workers, with a subset of workers, known as corpulents, that have enlarged gasters used for lipid storage in the nest. These data have been produced as part of the CCGP. Sequencing was conducted with HiFi Pacific Biosciences long reads at UCDavis Genome Core, Dovetail's OmniC libraries, and Illumina sequencing at UCBerkeley QB3 Genomics Core.
