yunnan red radish variety contain relatively large amounts of anthocyanins, making them important raw materials for processing edible red pigment. however, the genetic mechanism underlying this pigmentation has not been fully characterized. in this study, the radish inbred line YAAS-WR1 was crossed with red radish inbred line YAAS-RR1 to produce F1, F2, BC1P1, and BC1P2 populations. 2 QTLs related to anthocyanin synthesis were identified by genetic analysis and SLAF-seq based gene mapping.
