资源简介:

The Household Internet Use Survey (HIUS) was conducted for the sixth time in January 2003 for the Science, Innovation and Electronic Information Division at Statistics Canada. The annual HIUS collects detailed data on the Internet activities of Canadian households. It reports on Canadians using the Internet and measures the extent of their use, location of use, frequency of use and their reasons for using or not using the Internet. In 1999, data on electronic commerce from home were provided. With 2002 data, users can study the growth of e-commerce by tracking orders, purchases or use of Internet that influence acquisition of products or services. The survey examined Canadian households' access to the Internet at home, in the workplace and in a number of other locations. The resulting data and analysis sheds light on relationships between usage and location of use, household income, as well as other demographic factors. Additionally, the 2002 survey repeats the detailed module on e-commerce introduced in 1999.
