资源简介:
The goal of this study is to explore the role of gut microbiota, specifically the genus Ruminococcus, in regulating bone metabolism and mitigating osteoporosis induced by estrogen deficiency. By using ovariectomized rats (a common animal model for postmenopausal osteoporosis), the study investigates how alterations in gut microbiota influence bone health, focusing on the modulation of BMSC-derived exosomal miRNAs, which play a key role in osteogenic and adipogenic differentiation. The findings may help elucidate the mechanisms underlying osteoporosis and offer insights into potential therapeutic strategies, such as probiotics or gut microbiota manipulation, to restore bone health and prevent the progression of osteoporosis in estrogen-deficient states. This research is highly relevant for understanding the gut-bone axis and offers potential pathways for new treatments for osteoporosis and related metabolic disorders in humans.
