Title:Processed Emission and Radiative Forcing Data for:“Uncertain Emissions and Uneven Warming: The Co-Evolution of Black Carbon and Sulfate Radiative Forcing from 1751 to 2021” Authors:Min Shan et al. Repository Description:This repository contains processed data and analysis outputs supporting the findings of the above manuscript submitted to the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS). The data provided here include processed emission time series, model-derived radiative forcing (RF) time series, and regional aggregation results used to generate the figures and tables in the manuscript. ----------------------------------------CONTENTS---------------------------------------- 1. /processed_emissions/ - Global annual BC and SO2 emission time series (1751–2021) - Inventory comparison datasets (CEDS vs. alternative inventory) 2. /radiative_forcing/ - Global BC RF time series (1751–2021) - Global SO4 RF time series (1751–2021) - Net BC + SO4 RF time series - Scenario experiment outputs (if applicable) 3. /regional_summary/ - Regional RF contributions (11 regions) - Sectoral contribution breakdowns - Aggregated statistics used in manuscript figures 4. /analysis_scripts/ - MATLAB scripts used for post-processing and figure generation - Scripts for regional aggregation and statistical summaries ----------------------------------------DATA DESCRIPTION---------------------------------------- All datasets are provided as processed outputs derived from publicly available emission inventories and model simulations. The following external data sources were used:- Community Emissions Data System (CEDS)- Alternative updated global emission inventory (as described in manuscript)- OSCAR v3.3 compact Earth system model Raw emission inventories and the OSCAR model framework are publicly available from their respective providers and are not redistributed here. ----------------------------------------FILE FORMAT---------------------------------------- All numerical datasets are provided in CSV format.Scripts are provided in MATLAB (.m) format.Time dimension is annual (1751–2021 unless otherwise noted).Units are specified within each file header. ----------------------------------------REPRODUCIBILITY---------------------------------------- The provided data are sufficient to reproduce all main figures and tables in the manuscript. Model simulations were conducted using OSCAR v3.3 with configurations described in the Methods section of the manuscript. ----------------------------------------CONTACT---------------------------------------- For questions regarding the dataset or code, please contact:Min ShanEmail: [your email here] ----------------------------------------LICENSE---------------------------------------- This dataset is made available under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license unless otherwise stated.
