In mice, a large paternally imprinted domain (1 Mb) is located in the distal portion of chromosome 12, which contains paternally expressed Dlk1, Rtl1, and Dio3 and maternally expressed Gtl2, Rtl1as, Rian, and Mirg. However, functions of Dlk1-Dio3 imprinted cluster genes, especially non-coding RNA that expression from maternal allele, are not yet well understood. We focused on the effects of non-coding RNAs and miRNAs. To reveal function of maternal miRNA, we performed messenger RNA-seq and micro RNA-seq analysis of E11.5 BAC-TG mice whole embryo.
