资源简介:
Synoptic charts of surface and upper air for the period of June to August 1998 were provided by CMC-MSC. These charts are part of the project "The State of the Arctic Cryosphere During the Extreme Warm Summer of 1998." The year 1998 was the warmest on record in Canada and globally, with particularly pronounced warming anomalies located over the Canadian Arctic in the spring and fall seasons. This warming had major implications for snow, ice and permafrost (the Acryosphere) in the north. The Charts are provided are .cpt (Corel PhotoPaint) files of the arctic area for selected times extracted from the hemispheric files.
