XML Data Documentation for Working Conditions 1989

In 1989, Statistics Norway conducted an extensive survey that examined various dimensions of working life, including the work environment, wages, labor union activities, negotiations, job satisfaction, and attitudes toward work. A key objective of the survey was to capture employees' perceptions of their workplace in the context of the broader organizational environment. To achieve this, both company leaders and union representatives were interviewed, and supplementary data, such as wage levels and hiring policies, were collected.

The data is available at the following levels: company, employee, general manager, HR manager, and union representative. Statistics Norway (SSB) and the Institute for Social Research (ISF) were responsible for initiating, designing, and conducting the survey.
