QCA analysis data on regional environmental performance

This study focuses on China, excluding Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan due to data unavailability. The analysis utilizes panel data from 31 provincial–level administrative regions (2018–2023). The majority of indicators were sourced from the China Statistical Yearbook. The Baidu Pollution Search Index data were obtained from the Baidu Index platform, urban wastewater treatment rates from the China Urban Construction Statistical Yearbook, and urban environmental administrative penalty case records from the PKULAW legal database. Provincial statistical yearbooks supplement missing data.
