Bacterial Wadjet defense system protect the host cell from transformation by plasmid DNA. In the related manuscript of this dataset, we identified that Wadjet complex specifically recognizes and cleaves the circular DNA in a reaction requiring ATP. Using CryoEM, cross-linking mass spectrometry and biochemical assays, here we resolved the overall architecture of full Wadjet complex.
