Hepatic Yap1 activates systemic catabolism and muscle loss during organ repair: evidence for a common mechanism with cancer cachexia

Here, we report the gene expression changes that occur in the mouse liver and quadricep, 3 days following 70% partial hepatectomy (PHx) in mice. Using total RNA-sequencing, we analyzed livers and quadriceps from 5 adult C57BL6/J male mice, 3days after 70% partial hepatectomy. Control animals received a sham surgery (laparotomy) with no partial hepatectomy. 3 sham control mice and 5 PHx mice were used for the RNA-Seq analysis.
