资源简介:
To understand how reduced zones, water table fluctuations, and temperature gradients impact carbon exports from the Rifle floodplain system, we developed a biotic and abiotic reaction network and incorporated it into the reactive transport simulator TOUGHREACT. Two dimensional reactive flow and transport simulations were performed to: (1) quantify the release of carbon dioxide via abiotic processes, heterotrophic pathways, and autotrophic microbial oxidation of both reduced aqueous species (e.g., Fe+2, HS-) and minerals (e.g., pyrite), and (2) investigate the effects of reduced zones as well as water table variations and temperature gradients on subsurface carbon dynamics at the Rifle site. This data package includes tables from Arora et al. 2016b: Influence of hydrological, biogeochemical and temperature transients on subsurface carbon fluxes in a flood plain environment. Biogeochemistry, 127(2-3), 367-396. In particular, files include reactive transport model parameters describing soil physical and thermal parameters, geochemical reaction network and rate laws, as well as initial and boundary conditions. The last table documents modeling results with respect to annual carbon fluxes from the site to the river.
