Parental exposure of king quail (Coturnix chinensis) to PAHs via vapors and diet - effects on F1 offspring

The present dataset is of assays of the testing the role of exposure to Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) via vapors or via diet on transgenerational epigenetics in the king quail (Coturnix chinensis). Exposures were performed via diet on the parental generation. Endpoints for this experiment for the parental population are estimation and comparison of body mass, organ mass, and oxygen consumption among experimental treatments. For the offspring generation obtained from the parental groups we measured morphological characteristics of the eggshells (mass, length, and width) and physiological characteristics such as egg water loss, number of pores per area, and animal oxygen consumption. This data set contains images of the eggshells and the raw data files of oxygen consumption.
