Description This dataset supports a longitudinal investigation of how negative emotionality influences executive function (EF) in midlife and later life, using data from 424 participants in the MIDUS study. The study employs PROCESS Model 7 to test a moderated serial mediation model in which baseline EF and the cortisol/DHEA ratio serve as mediators, and coping is examined as a moderator. The dataset includes psychological, cognitive, and physiological variables across two time points (MIDUS 2 and MIDUS 3), allowing for analysis of stress-related pathways in cognitive aging.
