Navigating Leadership Pipelines: A Systematic Review of Women's Pathways, Barriers and Strategies for Leadership Empowerment

This study is based on a systematic literature review, following a structured methodology to identify, evaluate, and synthesize relevant research on women’s pathways, barriers and strategies for leadership empowerment. A comprehensive search was conducted across Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) databases using predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The dataset comprises 161 peer-reviewed articles, analyzed for key themes, methodologies, and findings. Data extraction followed the PRISMA framework to ensure rigor and transparency, providing a robust foundation for providing an integrative framework for women’s leadership empowerment, analyzing its dimensions, antecedents, and their interplay at individual, interpersonal, and organizational levels.
