Lenze Quality Inspection Dataset (Lenze-QI)

Quality inspection is an important step in industrial production avoiding early failures and customer complaints. Custom-built products are often produced in a high number of variants and a low number of instances per variant, which makes automation of quality inspection a difficult task. Today’s manual inspection is cost-intensive and error-prune. To investigate the general problem setting, we introduce a novel dataset from the real-world quality inspection at Lenze, called Lenze-QI. The data is acquired during the end-of-line test of a production line for geared motors, which covers a broad portfolio.

Please note, that the public version of the dataset is missing some of the audio-files compared to that one used in the paper for ethical reasons. The variants configurations are anonymized, but the additional attributes which are the shaft-speeds and gear-mesh frequencies are given in Hz.
