This study seeks to sequence ancient DNA from beetles recovered from packrat middens. The overall goal is to recover nuclear and mitochondrial sequence data from these ancient beetle samples for phylogenetic analysis and taxonomic assessment relative to the current distribution of closely related species of beetle.
