Rep. 14, 2024, 12617<b>Authors and Affiliations</b>Adam Kubiak, Maciej Zalas, and Michał Cegłowski from the Faculty of Chemistry, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, Poland.<b>Methodology and Tools</b>The study details a new <b>in situ microwave crystallization method</b> to synthesize titanium dioxide (TiO2​) nanoparticles. The research investigated how different microwave temperatures affect the nanoparticles' crystal structure, morphology, and surface area. The effectiveness of these materials was then tested in two main applications: the photocatalytic degradation of formic acid and their use in <b>Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSCs)</b>.<br>Funding InformationThis work was funded by the National Science Centre of Poland (2021/43/D/ST5/01190).
