Explorant els rànquings de Pitchfork amb la millor música de l'any / Exploring Pitchfork's Rankings of the Best Music of the Year

(CA) El següent arxiu és el dataset resultant de la Pràctica 1 corresponent a l'assignatura de Tipologia i cicle de vida de les dades durant el primer semestre del curs 2023-24.
Consisteix en una recopilació, duta a terme a través de tècniques de web scraping, dels llistats de millors àlbums i cançons per any i dècada elaborats per publicació musical Pitchfork a la seva web, estenent-se el període de les dades des de la dècada del 60 fins al passat any 2022.
El dataset inclou informació tal com el títol, l'artista, el segell de publicació, la ressenya de l'àlbum, el llistat de pertinença, així com la posició assolida al rànquing. A més, conté enllaços a diferent informació multimèdia, com ara enllaços a serveis d'streaming o la portada del propi llançament musical.
L'anàlisi de la seva informació permet respondre, des de la perspectiva d'una de les publicacions més reputades de la crítica musical a l'actualitat, a preguntes tals com la de quins han estat els àlbums més valorats en un deteminat període, quina ha estat l'evolució de la popularitat de determinats artistes, o com determinades sensibilitats musicals i gèneres han guanyat popularitat en un determinat període en detriment d'altres que quedaven relegats a un públic minoritari. A banda, suposen un recurs valuós com a referència per al públic melòman o amb interès en general per la cultura popular.
La informació recollida es presenta en format de text pla CSV i no ha estat sotmesa a cap procés de data cleaning, operació que serà duta a terme durant la segona part de la Pràctica.

(EN) The following article is the dataset resulting from Practice 1 corresponding to the assignment of Typology and Life Cycle of Data during the first semester of the academic year 2023-24.
It consists of a compilation, carried out through web scraping techniques, of the lists of best albums and songs per year and decade elaborated by the music publication Pitchfork on its website, extending the period of the data from the decade of the 60's to the last year 2022.
The data set includes information such as the title, the artist, the period of publication, the album review, the list of relevance, as well as the position in the ranking. In addition, it includes different multimedia information, such as links to streaming services or the cover of the music release.
The analysis of the information of the service allows to answer, from the perspective of one of the most reputable publications of the musical critique to the present time, to questions such as which albums have been the most valued in a given period, what has been the evolution in the popularity of certain artists, or how certain musical sensibilities and genres have gained popularity in a given period to the detriment of others, which were relegated to a minority audience. In addition, they are a valuable resource as a reference for the music-loving public or those with a general interest in popular culture.
The compiled information is presented in text format as CSV and has not been subjected to any kind of statistical analysis.
