Apalachicola-LeafRoot-MangroveSaltMarsh-SOC

This data set includes distribution of lignin and lipid biomarkers in A. germinans, R. mangle, S. alterniflora, and J. roemerianus leaf and root samples, as well as soil samples collected from monospecific communities of all aforementioned plant habitats, in the Pilot's Cove region, Little St. George island, Apalachicola estuary. This data set also includes results of mixing models for estimation of %contribution of leaves and roots from each plant species to bulk soil organic carbon. The R code for the mixing model (for estimating %contribution of leaves and roots) and random forest model (for determining the best proxies for classifying plant samples by species and tissue types) was also attached here.
