四川省宜宾市1：400万土壤细砂含量分布图（1980s）

四川省宜宾市1:400万土壤细砂含量空间分布是全国第二次土壤普查工作成果之一，是在中国科学院南京土壤研究所建立的中国1：100万土壤数据库的基础上，通过对土壤物理属性类型划分，利用GIS空间数据融合技术，最终裁剪生成。
中国1：100万土壤数据库，基于全国土壤普查办公室1995年编制并出版的《1：100万中华人民共和国土壤图》、《中国土种志》（六卷）数据资料基础上建成的。在严格执行原图的制图规范和标准的情况下，对纸质图进行扫描、空间几何纠正、数字化加工编辑成空间数据库；收集近3000个土种剖面属性数据，并将土壤剖面的属性数据与土壤图的空间单元，采用土壤类型法连接起来，从而建成的空间与属性一体化数据库。

The spatial distribution of soil fine sand content at 1:4,000,000 scale for Yibin City, Sichuan Province is one of the outcomes of China’s Second National Soil Survey. It was ultimately generated via clipping, based on China’s 1:1,000,000-scale Soil Database established by the Nanjing Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), through classifying soil physical property types and applying GIS spatial data fusion technology. China’s 1:1,000,000-scale Soil Database was developed on the basis of data from the *1:1,000,000-scale Soil Map of the People's Republic of China* and the six-volume *Soil Species of China*, which were compiled and published by the National Soil Survey Office in 1995. Following the original cartographic specifications and standards strictly, paper maps were scanned, underwent spatial geometric correction, and were digitized, processed and edited to build a spatial database. Moreover, nearly 3000 soil species profile attribute datasets were collected, and the attribute data of soil profiles were linked with the spatial units of soil maps via the soil type-based approach, thereby constructing an integrated spatial and attribute database.
