Gout is a chronic metabolic disease caused by impaired uric acid metabolism in the body. Gouty nephropathy is one of the most significant complications of gout, characterized by the deposition of urate crystals in the kidneys due to uric acid accumulation, leading to interstitial inflammation and the development of sclerotic changes. In the pathogenesis of gouty nephropathy, not only hypercreatininemia and proteinuria, but also disorders of lipid metabolism play an important role.
