High-Quality Remote Sensing Reflectance Products over China and US Coast (MODIS, 2003-2022)

This dataset provides monthly composite remote sensing reflectance (Rrs) at 0.01° spatial resolution derived from MODIS Aqua imagery from 2003 to 2022, covering coastal waters of China and the United States. The Rrs data were processed using an improved atmospheric correction framework that incorporates global gridded aerosol models optimized for coastal conditions and enhanced masking strategies. Compared to NASA's standard MODIS Rrs products, this dataset offers improved retrieval accuracy and significantly higher valid data coverage, particularly in optically complex nearshore waters. The data are provided in GeoTIFF format (EPSG:4326).
