Microbial response to experimental Batrachochytrium salamandrivorans and B. dendrobatidis introduction.

The goal of this research was to see if the amphibian-killing fungal pathogens, Batrachochytrium salamandrivorans and B. dendrobatidis, could establish in soil from Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We sequenced the microbial community from experimental microcosms across time post-inoculation. Bacterial biomarkers of potential pathogen inhibition were identified.
