Genome-wide re-sequencing of prostate cancer cell lines: LNCaP and LNCaP-abl (abl). LNCaP is androgen-dependent prostate cancer cell line, and after long-term passaging parental LNCaP cells in androgen-depleted (charcoal-stripped) medium for 41 passages, abl cells were generated, which are LNCaP-derived and androgen-independent. The purpose is to identify genetic alterations that may be potentially associated with the establishment of androgen-independent properties of abl cell line.
