Chinese Educational Mission: School Affiliation

This two-mode network maps the educational institutions which the 120 members of the Chinese Educational Mission attended in the United States between 1872 and 1881. Square nodes refer to institutions, circle nodes refer to persons (students). Colors represent geographical anchorage (states). Color-based clusters suggest that the students generally moved within the same state. Size of node proportionate to their degree centrality. The dataset is drawn from Rhoads (2011) and can be downloaded on Zenodo.
