资源简介:
To explore the habitability of the Jupiter moon Europa, NASA launched Europa Clipper on October 14, 2024 on a Mars-Earth gravity assist trajectory to Jupiter. Once in Jupiter orbit, Europa Clipper will then perform a complex trajectory (moon tour) with more than 50 Europa flybys. The launch, interplanetary trajectory, and moon tour are designed to meet NASA Planetary Protection requirements, and to reduce the probability of impact of the spacecraft with the Jovian moons, Earth, Mars, and Earth orbiting objects. This paper focuses exclusively on the probability of impact requirements compliance computation and mitigation for the Europa Clipper mission.
