3D Strain and Orientation Mapping of Precipitation-Hardened Aluminum Alloys

Precipitation hardening is one of the main strengthening mechanisms for aluminum-based alloys, especially for aerospace applications. In this experiment, we are going to measure the effect of solution heat treatment on the strain state of Al 2xxx series.
