Carbon Decoupling in China's Four Municipalities: Tapio and LMDI Data

This dataset contains data from 2005 to 2021, focusing on the four direct-controlled municipalities of China: Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, and Chongqing. It is used to analyze the decoupling relationship between economic growth and carbon emissions using the Tapio decoupling model. Additionally, the LMDI (Logarithmic Mean Divisia Index) decomposition method is applied to study the contributions of various factors to changes in carbon emissions. These factors include carbon emission intensity, energy intensity, per capita GDP, population size, industrial structure, and energy consumption structure. This dataset provides valuable insights into the dynamics of carbon emissions and the roles of socio-economic and structural factors in the context of urban development and sustainability.
