Data, analysis scripts, and simulations files for "Characterization of GaN:Si and ZnO:Ga for position-resolved fast timing applications"

This repository contains the raw data, analysis scripts and simulations to reproduce all figures (and some additional plots) in the publication *Characterization of GaN:Si and ZnO:Ga for position-resolved fast timing applications*. GaN:Si, ZnO:Ga, and YAP:Ce scintillators are characterized as alpha-particle detectors using an Am-241 source, covering light yield, scintillation decay times, coincidence timing resolution, and 2D position reconstruction, complemented by Cramér-Rao lower bound calculations and Monte Carlo photon transport simulations.
