Data and R script for: Verge width shapes plant richness and community composition but not functional structure in rural road verges

This repository contains the data and R code used to analyse how rural road verge (RRV) width influences plant community structure in agricultural landscapes of the Rolling Pampas, Argentina. The dataset includes environmental variables (e.g. verge width, adjacent land use, and landscape diversity) and plant community data for 20 rural road verges. The community matrix comprises dicotyledonous plant species, representing the main floral resources available to pollinators. The R script reproduces all analyses presented in the manuscript, including: Linear models for total plant richness Binomial generalized linear models for the proportion of exotic and annual species PERMANOVA and multivariate dispersion analyses for species composition Sensitivity analyses assessing the influence of extreme values and potentially influential observations Generation of all figures and summary tables All analyses are fully reproducible using the provided script and input files.
