NEEMSIS-1 2016-17 survey data

These data come from the NEEMSIS-1 (Network, Employment, dEbt, Migration and Skills in India Survey) wave carried out in 2016-17 among 492 households in more than 10 villages in the districts of Cuddalore and Viluppuram, in the rural region of Tamil Nadu (South India). This is the second wave of a multi-thematic household and individual survey (employment, financial practices, agriculture, education, migration, skills, social networks). The first wave is known as RUME (RUral Microfinance and Employment survey). In order to comply with the general data protection regulation, the data has been anonymised, i.e. the names and addresses of respondents have been removed.
