Data for "Under–25s show the clearest post–2021 rebound in mental health: HILDA 2001–2024"

This Zenodo record provides a minimal replication package (Stata code + full run log) for a short descriptive analysis of youth mental health trends in Australia using the Household, Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia (HILDA) Survey, Waves 1–24 (2001–2024). Files included- Teen MHEALTH --- 16 Feb 26.do (single Stata do-file: builds minimal person-year panel; produces Figure 1; runs Table 1 regressions)- MH_run.log (plain-text Stata log from a full run; allows reviewers to verify the full workflow and key counts without accessing restricted microdata) What the do-file reproduces (with licensed HILDA access)1) A minimal person-year panel dataset (long format) constructed from the HILDA Combined wave files (Combined_a240u.dta … Combined_x240u.dta). Only the variables required for the figure and regressions are kept.2) One descriptive figure: survey-weighted mean SF-36 mental health (ghmh) over 2001–2024 by age group.3) Three survey-weighted regressions for youth (15–24) during 2021–2024 relating SF-36 mental health to SEIFA 2021 indices (IRSAD, IER, IEO) using a linear post-2021 trend and Trend×Index interactions (Taylor linearisation; svy, subpop()).
