This contribution reviews the long and passionate work carried out by Aldo Vallone to reconstruct the articulated phases of critical reflection on Dante's work over the centuries. Vallone makes use of a very solid methodological system, thanks to which it enriches the investigation with acute and convincing exegetical proposals.
