Dataset of Typical Glacier Area and Ice Reserves in Qinghai Region from 2012 to 2024

This dataset covers the area and ice storage changes of five typical glaciers in Qinghai Province (Bayi Glacier, Geladandong Glacier, Animaqing Glacier, Tuanjie Peak Glacier, and Gangger Xueheli Glacier) from 2012 to 2024. The data is based on Landsat series remote sensing imagery, processed through remote sensing image analysis and glacier boundary extraction, to construct a high-temporal-resolution glacier dynamics dataset with data points every three years. The dataset is provided in Shapefile and Excel formats, offering glacier area data with a spatial resolution of 30 meters and corresponding ice storage estimates. This dataset can be used for glacier dynamic monitoring, regional water resource assessment, climate change impact research, and ecological environment management, providing fundamental data support for the long-term monitoring and scientific decision-making of glacier changes on the Tibetan Plateau.
