Etiology of Acute Undifferentiated Febrile Illness (AUFI) and Spectrum of Anti-Microbial Resistance (AMR) amongst Patients Attending a Tertiary Care Hospital of Bangladesh

Identification of causative agents in acute undifferentiated febrile illness (AUFI) in low-resource settings is vital to plan treatment in the absence of laboratory investigations. This study aimed to understand the etiology of AUFI in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This prospective observational study was carried out on 272 febrile patients at the Department of Internal Medicine, BMU, from the period of August 2020 to September 2022 (Two years). Enrolled patients were studied for socio-demographic, clinical characteristics, and laboratory parameters.
