Data and code for "Forests buffer warming-induced weakening of economic resilience"

This repository provides the data and code used to reproduce the main empirical analyses and figures for the study “Forests buffer warming-induced weakening of economic resilience”. The dataset includes country-level quarterly GDP per capita data, annual temperature and precipitation data, Global North–South classification data, TAC estimates, and world administrative boundary shapefiles. The folder `01_country_aligned_input_data` contains country-aligned climate projection inputs, while `02_country_aligned_moderator_data` contains country-aligned moderator variables used for the moderation analysis. The `code` folder contains Python scripts for computing TAC, estimating temperature–TAC relationships, testing forest moderation effects, and generating the corresponding figures.
