The 4th instar larvae of S. litura were heat stressed at 44 degree celsius for 4hrs as treatment group and control group was maintained at 27 degree celsius. After the emergence of male moths from stressed and control larvae, the male accessory glands were dissected out in phosphate buffer saline. Each sample consisted of 10 male accessory glands in 1.5 ml microcentrifuge tube. Later, extracted male accessory glands samples were frozen in liquid nitrogen (-196 degree celsius) and transcriptome profiling of the male accessory gland were performed.
