Low-input bulk RNA sequencing of Drosophila nephrocytes

To validate the applicability of pre-amplified low-input RNA sequencing method in Drosophila melanogaster cell types, we used Drosophila nephrocytes as an example case. We dissected Drosophila nephrocytes from adult animals to obtain 100 to 200 nephrocytes. We isolated total RNA using a low-input cDNA pre-amplification kit and then performed RNA sequencing on an Illumina-based platform.
