Nibea albiflora is a commercially important marine fish species distributed in East Asia. Here, we reported the chromosome genome assembly of yellow drum using PacBio long-read sequencing of 81 X coverage and genetic linkage map. The genome sequence assembly has a size of 595.7 Mb, with a contig N50 size of 535.4 kb and a scaffold N50 size of 25.2 Mb.
