资源简介:
The study aims to investigate how microbiomes in bulk soil, rhizosphere, and root endosphere of turfgrass respond structurally and functionally to foot traffic, particularly in high-use sports fields. Considering the seasonal patterns of foot traffic, the research focuses on Zoysiagrass and Bermudagrass due to their wear stress tolerance. By analyzing microbial community changes and potential functions using 16S and ITS marker genes, the study seeks to understand the role of root-associated microbiomes in mitigating foot traffic-induced stress and to inform management practices that promote plant growth and stress resilience. This research is relevant as it addresses the overlooked impact of foot traffic on the turfgrass microbiome and its implications for plant health and turf maintenance.
