The dataset supporting the findings of this study comprises anonymized transcripts of fourteen semi-structured interviews conducted with Chinese Wushu coaches born between the 1970s and 2000s. Each transcript includes detailed narratives on coaching philosophy, instructional methods, socio-cultural influences, and professional identity construction. Participant identifiers have been pseudonymized (e.g., Coach A, Coach B) to protect confidentiality, and all personal or institutional details that could lead to identification have been removed. All interviews were transcribed verbatim in the original language (Mandarin Chinese) and, where relevant, translated into English for analysis.
