Data for "A note on the settling velocity of sea spray spume droplets"

This dataset contains measurements of the settling velocity of freely falling freshwater droplets, as described in Voermans et al. (submitted to JPO), `A note on the settling velocity of sea-spray spume droplets' (see Fig. 1). Data are provided in MATLAB .mat format with the following variables: t = fall duration in sws = settling velocity in m/s (taken as dH/dt)H = fall height in m, corresponding to tH_ws = fall height in m, corresponding to wsG = needle gauged = droplet diameter in m Note, for each needle gauge, three experiments were performed, see manuscript.
