Mercury, Trace Metals and Persistent Organic Pollutants Concentrations in Arctic Char, Ringed Seal, and Narwhal from the Eclipse Sound near Pond Inlet, Nunavut (2016-2019)

Data was collected in order to better inform the community of Pond Inlet with regards to the contamination risk associated with the consumptions of marine wildlife and fishes that represents the bulk country used locally. This database provides data in different areas that are used traditionally for hunting but that had never been sampled before. The data will be used by local organization such as the Mittimatalik Hunters and Trappers Organization for local planning, and by regional organization such as the Nunavut Research Institute and the Government of Nunavut's Health Department for public messaging. This study is community-driven and lead by a local researcher from Pond Inlet.
