资源简介:
The manuscript (in press) "The Role of Pheromones and Temporal Mechanisms in the Reproductive Isolation of Monochamus maculosus, Monochamus notatus, and Monochamus scutellatus (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae)" by Andrade et al. describes the results of laboratory volatile collections and field trapping experiments that assessed the role of additional pheromone components, diel rhythms of pheromone production, and phenological/diel flight activity in the reproductive isolation of sympatric populations of Monochamus maculosus, M. notatus, and M. scutellatus in the Great Lakes Forest Region of Ontario, Canada. The data has been split into two datasets: 1 - The “Diel_and_phenological_patterns_of_flight_activity_dataset” contains data collected from field trapping experiments conducted in clear-cut softwood forests north of Thessalon, ON, Canada, during 2016, 2017 and 2019 to determine the diel and phenological flight activity of Monochamus maculosus, Monochamus notatus, and Monochamus scutellatus. 2 – The “Pheromone_release_quantification_dataset” contains data collected from Gas Chromatography- Mass Spectometry analyses of headspace aeration samples of Monochamus maculosus and Monochamus scutellatus to quantify the amount of pheromone produced by males of these two species in the laboratory during 2021.
