Tridacna maxima isolate:CUBoulder Genome sequencing

We report the first high-quality, chromosome-scale genome sequence of Tridacna maxima, an iconic giant clam species known for its significant role in marine ecosystems. This comprehensive genome, assembled through advanced PacBio and Hi-C sequencing technologies, spans approximately 1.32 Gb with a scaffold N50 of 64 Mbp. The genome is characterized by a high proportion of repetitive elements, constituting about 70% of the total assembly, and includes annotations for 46,469 protein-coding genes, laying a foundational framework for further evolutionary and ecological studies.
